Job Purpose:
• Site based Senior Electrical Engineer on a University Project presently under construction in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
• Responsible for ensuring that the quality expectations, budget and programme constraints of the client are respected by the contractor
• Responsible for managing junior electrical engineering staff and inspectors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as Senior Electrical Engineer on the project site
• Responsible for all Electrical work including Medium Voltage (13.8kV) Distribution, Low Voltage Distribution, Lighting, Power, Extra Low Voltage Systems (Fire Alarm, BMS, CCTV/Access Control, Telephone/Data, Audiovisual etc), Lightning Protection and Grounding, External Lighting, etc
• Review shop drawings and vendor drawings for compliance with Contract Documents
• Review Electrical Calculations for compliance with Contract Documents
• Review material submittals for compliance with Contract Documents
• Review Technical Specifications for conformance with Contract Documents
• Implement, manage and control the Project Electrical Quality Assurance Plan
• Plan, monitor and control the inspection of all Electrical equipment at the manufacturing plants and the installation of the Electrical equipment and systems at site by the Contractors
• Review As-built drawings for the Electrical work
• Review Operation and Maintenance Manuals for the Electrical work
• Review Project acceptance procedures and participate in contract close out
• Witness Testing and Commissioning of all Electrical systems
• Coordinate Electrical work with Architectural, Civil, Structural, Mechanical and Specialist Disciplines
• Review, monitor and report on the Project construction schedule
• Review, design and implement Client change requests
• Manage and control the site Junior Engineers and site Inspectors
• Ensure senior staff are kept informed of important and relevant service/design decisions and the objectives of the client are achieved
• Continually ensuring that practices, policies, strategy and services represent the client’s best interests and that BH policy is in keeping with current legislation, Standards and Codes of Practice etc

Qualifications:
• Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer
Or
• In special circumstances, six years relevant working experience with either a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BEng) or Masters degree in Engineering (MEng) and working towards chartership
• 10 years relevant experience
